Rainbow bee-eaters

Today the kids and I wandered over to the cemetery near our house again to see if the snake was really dead. It was. It was a beautiful day and there is a lot of wildlife in the cemetery as it is bordered by a large wetland area. We came across these beauties as they swooped through the air acrobatically catching flying insects to eat. Stuart is impressed that these birds can catch dragonflies in flight. They are common all over Australia.
